Course Rating and Handicaps

In February this year, we had the Caesarea golf course rated by the European golf association. They rated all the tees that is the Black, Blue, White and Green for Men and White and Green for ladies. You should see a difference in the handicaps for March.

In April, we will stop using the USGA Handicap system  and start using the European Golf Association(EGA) system. The Israel Golf Association has been the giving the license to use the EGA Handicap system in Israel. The  EGA system is used throughout Europe and is based on converting your medal score into a Stableford one. It is important to know that only competition scores such as individual stableford and Medal qualify for Handicap. The system also allows for a maximum of 4 Extra Additional  Scores(EDS) per year that are not competition. For these scores to count, you need to advise on the day at the pro shop( names to be entered on a EDS separate sheet)  that to day score(non Competition) qualifies for handicap). It is important to note that we will issue a new Handicap list every two week and not once a month.
